This is often called our “Cultural Mandate.” Discuss what it really means to live as stewards of the earth…
Discuss what makes us CONNECTED:
1. We were made on the sixth day.
2. We were made from the dust of the ground (“Adam” from the “Adamah.”)
3. We were made to live on the earth.

What are some of the implications of these connections?

Look at Genesis 2:15. What light does this shed on the earth care mandate and the cultural mandate?

Discuss the significance of naming. Naming infers this idea of knowing, caring and acting on behalf of something or someone.

Spend some time “naming” some of the current issues in earth care:

• Hunger:
• Species Extinction:
• Water Conservation/Contamination:
• Deforestation:
• Desertification:
• Waste Management:
• Energy Consumption:
• Air Quality:
• Climate Change:
