Next week is Spring Break. We encourage groups to take a break, at least from your “formal” meeting, and then start up again for Holy Week. We don’t take for granted that all group members will re-register. Your group leader(s) will want to confirm your decision asap.
GROW
Discuss the diagram that George went over in the worship service.
• What are your thoughts on the mission (“Connecting with God…People…the World.”)?
• What about our three core programs (Worship, Groups and Ministry Teams)?
• What about the surrounding practices (Daily Office, 3 Relationships, Servant Evangelism)?
Are you committed to this mission, programs and practices? Why or why not? (There are no wrong answers- you’re just discussing where you’re at in the journey.)
Out of a life centered on Jesus flows thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7). Discuss the three disciplines that thankful people demonstrate discussed in the service:
Give- “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
Share- “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Grow- “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
